Japanese Black Wagyu Cow

This shot was taken during golden hour just as the sun was setting behind me. Most of the cows on this plateau are Holstein and Jersey heifers raised for dairy farms, while a small number of Japanese black wagyu cattle are raised for beef. This Japanese black wagyu cow is taking a break from a long day of grazing on the lush grass covering the highlands of Utsukushigahara in Nagano Prefecture.
