Tiny Mushrooms and Moss

On the quiet trail to Tateshina-Otaki Falls in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, the dense moss of the Tateshina-Genserin Primeval Forest wrapped the landscape in vibrant green. Scattered clusters of mushrooms emerged here and there, subtly heralding the approach of autumn.
