Description
Cliffs along the Cape Jogasaki coastline (Izu Peninsula, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan) formed over 4,000 years ago when magma from a nearby volcano flowed into the sea and quickly cooled forming columnar joints that can be easily seen near the waterline.
